Start as you mean to go on...

...which is all fine and dandy in theory, but when it actually comes down to it, we pretty much suck at commiting to any kind of resolution.

The worst kind are the New Year's Resolutions: "I promise not to eat chocolate"; "I'm going to exercise more"; "I'm going to...fail".

I gave up making resolutions a long time ago. They always seem negative to me, like every single thing that happened in the year before was something to be ashamed of, banished to the depths of memory, and rewritten the year after. I'm not that ashamed of anything I've done. In fact, there are some things I've done in 2015 that I'm pretty damned proud of. Little things, mostly, but pride beats shame in my book any time.

And speaking of books...

I am fairly well known - who am I kidding,   famous - for the amount of reading I do. 2016 will be no exception to this rule at all. I am going to be completing a 2016 Reading Challenge. I can't wait! There are 12 parts to said challenge, enough for one a month. Yeah. Like it's gonna take me a month to get through 12 books?

I'm not sure of which books will fulfil each part, yet. So far, I know these:

A book you should have read at school - To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee.

A book published this year - Star Wars - Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Alan Dean Foster.

Updates (and possibly irate reviews) shall ensue the reading of the books in this challenge. I can't wait!
